Shaluli Shan Range is the biggest mountain range in Sichuan. It is located in western Sichuan in Garze Tibetan Prefecture with a length of 500km from south to north. Within the range there are Chola Mountains, Genyen Mountains, Gangga Range, Haizi Shan, Mula Shan, Yulong Snow Mountains, etc. The highest mountain in this range is Mount Genyen, 6205 meters. The range separates Yangtze River and Yalong River. It is two days drive from Chengdu to get to the closest part of the range.

Shangluli Range has one of the least explored mountain massifs in China with fairly easy accessibe roads. Many unclimbed peaks that are over 5000m.

Chola Mountains are located by the north of the range and connecting to its southeast is the Gangga Range and Kawalori Mountains. By the central of Shaluli is the Haizi Mountains and Genyen Massif. By the south of Shaluli are the Yading Mountains, Bala Gezong and Yulong Snow Mountains in Yunnan Province.

Base of Chola Mountains is Derge, base of Gangga Mountains is Ganzi, base of Haizi and Genyen Mountains are Litang and Batang.
