Mount Genyen is the highest mountain of Genyen Massif and the highest of Shaluli Shan Range in Hengduan Mountains in Eastern Tibet. It is 6204 meters above sea level. It locates in the south of Genyen Massif. It is also called Mount Genie in Chinese.
Climbing season is from October to December. Now the recommended climbing season is April to May and October to December.
It has been tried several times since 1980s. Charlie Fowler had extensive explored this region in early 2000s.
Climbing Mt. Genyen, one goes in from Litang via Lamaya and from there to the Lenggu Monastery.
