About this Expedition

Mt. Yamu is a 5374-m peak south to Mt. Yala located in the massif north to Minya Konka Range as part of the Daxueshan Range. It is a medium level climb with low technical climb and medium approach but may be accessible in different seasons. The climb to Yamu starts from Xinduqiao/Tagong with acclimating in comfortable hotel nights.

Day03 Tagong - road end, acclimate and overnight 4200m camping

What to Expect

Short Approach

Mt. Yamu has very short approach. The drive can get to almost 4200m if not higher under good snow conditions. From there the approach to snowline is around 5km.

Good Training on Snow
The approach to summit is on snow condition for most of the climbing season. The terrain is with different levels. Top part before summit is exposed and requires roped climbed.

It’s Harder then It Looks
The usual face that is climbed on Yamu is the west face and there are multiple routes available and possible.

Cancelation
As costs happen after confirmation, the following refunding policies are applicable when a cancelation happens:
Cancelation 60 days prior to departure date, full refund;
Cancelation 60-30 days prior to departure date, 50% refund;
Cancelation within 30 days prior to departure date, no refund.
